“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” 1 Corinthians 14,33 (NKJV)

Besides the fact that “the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1,18 NKJV), the gospel of Jesus Christ (the message), the kingdom of God, the church of Jesus Christ is not (should not be) confused, confusing, chaotic or disorderly.

If it ‘is’, something went wrong and it is not from God.

Since creation, we see that God is a God of order, light, pattern and principle. Things were created and formed in a particular way. God created man after setting up the whole earth; making a suitable place for man to live in with all necessary resources. Everything was given an identity (a name) and a purpose. By giving a purpose, there laid boundaries. Because for there to be order, there has to be limits.

“For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh and an opportunity or excuse [for selfishness], but through love you should serve one another.” Galatians 5,13 (AMPC)

One of the signs of the devil’s operation are: control, manipulation, intimidation (fear) and domination (domineering); these things are also regarded as witchcraft. Man was called to dominion, but he was never called to have it over his fellow man. It is dominion over the earth and over realms. Men should be willing (not controlled nor manipulated) to serve otherwise it becomes slavery.

On the other hand, the workings of the Holy Spirit are love, peace, gentleness, humility, self-control, etc. (Galatians 5,22-23)

Jesus called the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth! “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.“ (John 16,13-14 NKJV)

What makes something true is because it is from God: God being its source.

Even Jesus Himself said: ”For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.” John 12,49 (NKJV)

“Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him (John 7,16-18 NIV)

Child of God, it does not matter how ‘correct’, ‘accurate’, ‘logical’, ‘reasonable’ it might sound, if God is not the source of it, it is not true. There is falsehood somewhere.

And falsehood, if embraced, will create chaos, confusion and disorder.

If peace is lacking, ask God for clarity. He will surely answer.

“And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria: they prophesied by Baal and caused My people Israel to err.” Jeremiah 23,13 NKJV
