Welcome to our first blog!!!

We are excited to have you here!

As a start, let's indulge in the truth found in 1 Timothy 2,4 (NKJV), which is the essence of this blog's existence. " who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth"

God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth!

When we compare this verse in different versions (translations) of the Bible for further comprehension, we see, mainly, the following words used for "desires": will, wants, wishes and longs for.

  • God will have all men to...

  • God wants all people to..

  • God wishes all men to..

  • God longs for everyone to..

THIS SHOWS THE HEART OF GOD.

  1. God does not want man to perish

John 3,16 let’s us know that there is a ‘perishing’

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

  1. and He does not want man to be in the dark, to be in ignorance.

In Hosea 4,6, God says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”

Destroyed is no soft word. This highlights the degree of the importance of knowledge.

God desires! Someone may say: “Put like that it’s as if God is limited. Doesn’t God do what He wants?”

Well, if there is something about God, it's that He has principles and He respects them. One of His principles is that He has given man the free will to choose. God does not force anybody to do anything.

God did not create robots but He created man who will hopefully choose to love Him – to love Him back, really! Yes, God desires all men to be saved but not all men are saved. God desires all men to come to the knowledge of the truth but not all men have come to the knowledge of the truth.

One thing is sure, regardless of all that, God has loved people and has never ceased to pursue them. This is true for you and me: God is love! He loves you, He loves me.
