By grace through faith

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2,8-9 (NIV)

Grace, here, is the unmerited favor of God. God extending His hand to give us things we don’t deserve, favor that we could have never imagined. God is gracious, God is merciful, God is kind, God is good.

Sometimes, as human beings, we don’t always appreciate this unmerited favor until our weaknesses or failures are up in our faces; when we've put so much confidence in ourselves to only realize how weak we can be. The Apostle Paul understood this and said: “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find” (Romans 7,18 NKJV)

The life of salvation is founded on a covenant through Jesus Christ with promises marvelous and unmatched. When Jesus said “It is finished” on the cross, it meant (means) that He has paid it all. Where we didn’t (don’t) measure up He came (comes) through. Where we messed it up, he paid for it. And because of that, a glorious life has been made possible, available and given to those who believe.

Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” John 11,40 (ESV)

A minister of the Gospel said: “The part of the Bible you believe is the part that works for you” (according to truth). This is to say that faith is necessary. All the wonderful promises in the Scriptures are to be believed. The same way we receive salvation and become born again, is the same way we receive everything else from God: through faith.

Life, blessing, joy, peace, righteousness, love, hope, health, restoration, preservation, protection, increase, abundance, multiplication, dominion, heritage, legacy, etc. all these are given in Christ Jesus. They are given by grace, they are freely given.

Jesus said: “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18,3 NKJV)

Little children believe at someone’s word. They don’t complicate things. They are humble; they don’t have egos. The word “convert” that Jesus used means to change: to change the mindset, the attitude, and become like little children: childlike.

Whatever is good for your life, don’t dismiss it because you think 'it’s too late', 'It’s too good for me', 'I don’t deserve it', 'I messed it up', 'It’s impossible', 'I don’t know, I am afraid'.

Release all the fears, God loves you!

Receive His love. Receive His goodness.

It’s not about deserving it. That’s why it’s called GRACE.

For if by the one man’s offense [Adam] death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5,17(NKJV)
